Country Store Supervisor (All Year)

Position Overview

The Store Supervisor is primarily responsible for all Country Store seasonal functions. This includes but is not limited to help with managing and training seasonal staff, inventory and product ordering, preparing store for seasonal and Christmas operation, utilizing and managing the POS (Revel) system, assisting with fudge production and sales and other duties assigned

Duties include the following:

Store Supervisor Operational Duties

  • Demonstrate flexibility in schedule
  • Prioritize responsibilities to best meet the needs of the Country Store
  • Order and maintain Country Store inventory
  • Align fudge production and retail sales with goals
  • Prepare signage for retail products
  • Prepare Country Store for seasonal and Christmas operation
  • Manage floor cleaning schedule
  • Set calendar schedule for sampling CGO products

Manage POS (Revel) System

  • Enter all inventory
  • Manage all prices and products
  • Match barcodes with products
  • Set appropriate sales tax with products
  • Set products to correct categories
  • Maintain hardware
  • Work with Revel point-of-sale system support when needed on updates

Communication Processes and Training

  • Communicate in a professional manner to all Country Store CGO employees and guests
  • Set employee scheduling calendar
  • Communicate with Team Leads on changes and updates
  • Communicate with other key CGO staff members on changes and updates
  • Manage training with Team Leads and staff members

General Responsibilities

  • Uphold CGO Mission and Values
  • Treat all employees, guests, vendors with respect
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Demonstrate good communication with employees, guests, and vendors
  • Demonstrate good punctuality and attendance
  • Display a positive attitude

Qualifications:

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good leadership skills, must be detail oriented
  • Proficient computer skills – working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, POS system
  • Proven ability to use independent judgment, decision-making skills, human relation skills
  • Must be able to use discretion and a commitment to confidentiality
  • Must be able to meet multiple individual and team deadlines in a fast-paced and changing & dynamic work environment
  • Must be 18 years of age or older, and have 2 years of retail experience.
